  • Binghamton map created by L.R. Burleigh, 1882. If you look at the place where the Chenango and Susquahanna rivers meet, there are two houses on what would become the Roberson lot. Alonzo had both houses demolished to build his extravagant Gilded Age Mansion. They must have really wanted to build on Front Street.

Path Through History Weekend

New York State’s Path Through History Weekend is an opportunity to discover the best historical sites the state (and Binghamton) has to offer! There are a lot of local events being put on by Phelps Mansion, Binghamton Zoo, The Discovery Center, Roberson Museum and Science Center, and more in Broome County on Saturday and Sunday, June 15 – 16, 2019.

 

Roberson will sharing the stories of the Southern Tier through a number of exhibitions, tours, and activities.

Roberson’s PATH experience includes guided tours of the Roberson Mansion with special access to locked areas of the Museum.

We will also have Mystery Objects for visitors to investigate–can you identify a watchman’s rattle?

Mansion Tours: 1PM, 2PM, 3PM, and 4PM

Mystery Objects: 12PM – 3PM

Planetarium shows: 1PM, 2PM, and 3PM

Explore, Create and Celebrate Local History at Roberson Museum and Science Center during Path Through History Weekend

Enjoy family fun, hands-on activities, and exciting exhibits featuring Historic Mansion Guided Tours, Model Trains, Native American crafts & games, and more. Exhibits include “Journey From Our Prehistoric Past,” “Vintage: 1954-1964,” “The Legacy of Edwin Link,” “Treasures of the Vault.” Open 12-5pm.  Mansion tours: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm.  Digital Planetarium Shows: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm

  • From: 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Activities Included With General Admission: $8 for adults, $6 for Students/Seniors, free for Members
  • Digital Planetarium shows are an additional $4 with General Admission
