Senator Kirsten Gillibrand visited Roberson Museum and Science Center on Friday September 30 to promote the Women’s Suffrage Centennial Commission Act, a bi-partisan legislation that will provide federal grants to support programs and activities commemorating the 100th year anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment. Senator Gillibrand was joined by Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, Mayor Rich David and other local elected officials. Senator Gillibrand’s visit to Roberson was extremely relevant as we will be installing a new exhibition in 2017 encompassing aspects of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.
