We’re celebrating our last week of October Haunts with a number of spooky programs for all ages. Step back to the Gilded Age in our Mansion and hear the lore of people long past… and of some who never left. Explore the origins of Halloween and why scientists consider it such an astronomical holiday. Finally, enjoy a Museum-wide Family event with our Family Halloween Spooktacular celebration. Come explore October at Roberson.

 

Haunted Mansion Tours

Friday, October 26 from 6PM – 8PM (every half-hour)

Saturday, October 27 from 12:30pm – 4pm (every half-hour)

Roberson Mansion has seen many people come and go in its 100 years. Some of whom may still linger.

Come walk with us through the halls of our Gilded Age Mansion on this seasonal tour, and hear  the lore hidden in the halls of this historic home. We even have a few tales, which pre-date the Mansion itself.

Tours typically last between 20 – 30 minutes.

We have now added reservations. We recommend purchasing a ticket in advance to reserve your spot.

Family Halloween Spooktacular

Saturday, October 27 12pm – 4pm

Trick or treat through the Roberson galleries and historic halls in your cutest or spookiest costume.

Take a tour through our Mad Science Labs in the activity center from 12 – 4pm and see another side of science. Create a spooky craft–reconstruct the human arm out of household objects or maybe create an origami eyeball.

Planetarium shows of the night sky during this most spookiest of seasons, every hour starting at 12:30pm, last showing is at 3:30pm.

Our seasonal planetarium show explores what makes Halloween such an astronomical holiday and how certain celestial events have influenced this occasion. Dive into its origins and the events that have shaped Halloween into what it is today.
