The Language of Flowers (Flower Pressing)

September 9, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

pressed flowers

Roberson has partnered with flora artist, Jasmine McAvoy of KoKaDema Flora, to deliver a class on the art of pressing and the Language of Flowers.

The red rose symbolizes love and a buttercup may reveal a love of butter. Learn more about the lesser known meanings given to an entire range of herbs and flowers. This class will feature a brief lesson. You will press flowers using a small flower press, keep notes in an archival notebook and collect a keepsake note card of all flowers and herbs used in class. Finally we will create a small flower drying wreath, a beautifully fragrant addition to any room.

All materials will be provided.

Cost: $75 non-members; $60 Roberson Members

When: September 9 from 1PM – 2:30PM

Where: Roberson Museum, 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY
