Special guest author this year is New York Times bestselling author Anne Bishop. Creator of the Black Jewels series, the Others series, the Tir Alainn trilogy, and more. Anne will be appearing on both days of RoberCon, participating in panel discussions and signings!
Convention-goers also have the opportunity to participate in a number of panels and discussions with special guests throughout the weekend. We’ll discuss everything from the craft of writing sci-fi to the shows and fandoms we all know and love.
In addition to having scheduled tabletop sessions for Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer 40K, Call of Cthulhu, and more, our gaming room will feature a number of board games (fresh from GenCon) available for play. Plus, an entire section of play-and-win board games.
The gaming room will also be open late on Saturday night for some after-hours play (read: this is when we’ll be bringing out Cards Against Humanity and a few other games we keep under the table).
There will be over 40 vendors selling their wares and a number of fan groups tabling during the event.
Also, be sure to bring your best cosplay for our costume contest.
See you September 29 – 30 in Binghamton, NY
RoberCon is not just a convention, it’s a community of people who share a passion for fandoms and all things geek, coming together for a weekend celebration. RoberCon also differs from most other conventions in its sense of community and charitable goal. Proceeds from the event go to support Roberson Museum and Science Center’s education and outreach programs in the local area.
