Member First Look: The Art of Jules Gotay

Roberson Members are invited to a First Look at Word and Image: The Art of Jules Gotay.
Jules Gotay’s drawings and paintings will be featured in the first floor Dickenson West Gallery at Roberson Museum and Science Center.
Gotay’s paintings are full of vibrant color and detail. As to how he comes up with these exploratory scenes, he says it begins with the title.
“I begin with a poetic title and try to explain it visually,” Gotay writes. “By recreating it visually, I hope to concretize the idea.”
“I want to create paintings that live on the outer edges of understanding, and open to endless interpretation.”
This art exhibition will be open to the public on February 5.
