Summer Camps at Roberson give kids a way to engage in a number of indoor and outdoor activities–keeping their minds sharp. These week-long summer camps are all led by a team of experienced and accredited educators who will foster your child’s passion for forensic science, wildlife, film, fitness, and much more!

Price: Full price for an entire week of summer camp is $172 for Roberson members, and $215 for non-members.
Before care (8 – 9 am) and after care (3 – 5:15 pm) are offered at a nominal fee of $30 for the week.

Forensic Science (Grades 6-8) July 1st-July 3rd (Shortened camp because of 4th of July)
Participants will learn the main components of forensic science including crime scene investigation, evidence analysis and fingerprinting. Campers will explore all the roles at a crime scene, take and examine their own fingerprints, and conduct a trial in front of a jury of their parents.
Sensational Senses (Grades 2-4) July 8th-12th
Campers spend each day exploring one of our five senses. Learn the science behind our senses while taking part in fun hands-on activities. Campers will play a game where they are stripped of their ability to see colors, use only their sense of touch to create art and test their ability to distinguish smells.
Lights, Camera, Action! (Grades 5-7) July 8th-12th
It’s time to put things in motion using hand and computer drawings, toys, found objects, and clay models. This popular camp begins with basic forms of animation such as flipbooks, then moves on to computer animation programs. Campers will script, film and edit their own stop-motion short film to present to their families on the last day of camp!
Stimulating STEAM (Grades 5-7) July 15th-19th
Utilize this week to expand your child’s skills in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Campers will participate in a variety of engaging activities including designing and building their own robots, testing the health of our rivers, creating an art piece using math, and so much more in this exciting camp.
Time Travelers (Grades 4-6)July 22nd-26th
Spend the week discovering various civilizations throughout history. Campers will encounter new time periods each day, partaking in hands on activities as they translate and create morse code messages, make a prehistoric fossil and explore the myths of Ancient Greece.
Kitchen Chemistry (Grades 6-8) July 22nd-26th
Join us this week in experimenting in the kitchen. We will be conducting experiments all week that will help us learn about the chemistry of cooking. See what happens when you use baking powder versus baking soda, use common kitchen ingredients to make secret messages and make a lava lamp to take home with you.
Abrakadoodle Art (Grades 2-4) July 29th-August 2nd
Explore a unique style of art each day including abstract art, scenic art, mosaics and sculptures. Campers will create their own works of art throughout the week using various mediums such as clay, paint, colored pencils, and more to be featured in a talent showcase at the end of the week.
Fun with Food and Fitness (Grades 4-6) July 29th-August 2nd
Campers will learn new ways to become active and get healthy throughout this camp as they make a variety of nutritious snacks, learn how the body works and experience fun forms of physical activity including yoga, aerobics, obstacle courses, and more!
Creature Features (Grades 4-6) August 5th-August 9th
Are you curious about how animals “talk” to each other? Do you wonder how animals can “hide” in plain sight? From paws to feathers, scales and claws, get ready for a week of all things animals!
There’s No Place Like Space (Grades 5-7) August 5th-August 9th
This camp is out of this world! Explore the objects that orbit our galaxy through presentations in our Digital Planetarium. Campers will make moon rock candy, explore the constellations in the sky and interact with a real meteorite.
Calling All Robots, Superheroes, and Wizards (Grades 5-7) August 12th-August 16th
Do you love comic books, science fiction or wizardry? Join us this week as de-mystify the stories of science fiction. We will build a magic wand, create a new comic book superhero and practice our best robot moves all while learning the science behind our favorite stories.
Wildlife Wonders (Grades 2-4) August 19th- August 23rd
This week campers will receive a magnified look at the wildlife in and around our museum. They will explore the different tracks that animals make and the adaptations that help them survive. Campers will also use their favorite animal as inspiration for new pieces of art.
Are You Up For A Challenge? (Grades 4-6) August 19th-August 23rd
Campers will participate in various physical and scholastic challenges in addition to critical thinking activities, minute-to-win-it games and riddles that are aimed at improving your child’s communication skills, stimulate their minds and help them to gain a greater appreciation for teamwork. There is no “I” in team, and Roberson is here to help foster our campers’ ability to collaborate with others.
TinkerTime (Grades 4-6) August 26th-August 30th
Ever dream of becoming an inventor? At TinkerTime you can! Campers will use their imagination and problem solving skills to design simple machines, musical instruments and new inventions. At the end of the week, campers will create their own exhibit to demonstrate their new inventions.
Go Green Boot Camp (Grades 5-7)August 26th-August 30th
This week we will learn how to care more for our environment, and give back to nature in easy and meaningful ways. Discover how you use recycled materials every day, test the quality of the air we breathe and design a garden for your home.
