Explore the wonders of Winter.

December 28 – 31

You and your child can participate in hands-on activities and explore the wonders of wintertime phenomena. And after, everyone can explore the wonderful displays as part of Roberson’s Home for the Holidays celebration.

December 28, 29, 30, and 31

2 Sessions per Day: 11:30AM – 12:30PM & 1:30PM – 2:30PM

Age

Families with children 2nd – 8th grade

Children must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.

Pricing

General: $12 per student / $8 per Adult

Members: $10 per student/ $6 per Adult

Tuesday, December 28

11:30-12:30PM – Snow Day Science! Learn about animal adaptations in winter. Together we’ll create a winter storm in a jar and use chromatography to create colorful snowflake decorations. 

1:30-2:30PM – ‘Tis the Season Engineering Challenges! Does putting a cotton ball under your pillow really create a snow day? Together we’ll engineer a snowball catapult and a cotton ball launcher for some winter fun.

Wednesday, December 29

11:30-12:30PM – Ice Age Exploration! Learn about how scientists uncover preserved and fossilized specimens from the ice age. Together we’ll perform our own ice excavation and create our own fossils. 

1:30-2:30PM – Cool Chemistry! Conduct chemistry experiments exploring the principles of heat transfer. Together we’ll perform an Endothermic/Exothermic reactions lab, perform hot cocoa science, and build a Snow Volcano.

Thursday, December 30

Extra COVID Precautions:

Masks required and social distancing will be implemented. 

No sharing of supplies.

No more than 4 people to a table

All people at a table must be from the same ‘family unit’
