Roberson Announces 2016 Summer Camp Opportunities

Features ‘Be The Agent Camp’ based on popular PBS Kids show ‘Odd Squad’

BINGHAMTON, NY – Roberson Museum & Science Center announces its summer educational camp programming for 2016. Each year Roberson offers an array of educational camps for school age children ages Pre­School through sixth grade. The summer camp schedule begins the week June 20 th and ends on September 2. This year’s programming features a fun and unique partnership with PBS Kids, programming offered by WSKG Public Media. The Odd Squad Summer Camp “Be The Agent.” Be The Agent Camp, which runs from August 8­12 is offered for kids ages 5­8. Campers will step into the shoes of Odd Squad agents and solve a series of odd cases that extend from the popular PBS Kids show. Be The Agent Camp models the Odd Squad show in emphasizing problem solving teamwork, and critical mathematics concepts to solve the cases. Other themes include “Drawing and Animation,” “Week of Geek,” and “Summer Olympics.” Also new this year are three half­day Preschool Camps for kids ages 3­4. Pricing is discounted for Roberson members. Camps are offered in weekly increments and morning and after care programs are available for working parents.
