greatest natural resource: wood! Trees shade us from the summer sun; in the
autumn, they provide us with delicious fruit and a spectacular seasonal display
of color. Our houses are made from them, as well as our furniture, and even the
books we read. Their life affects our life – our climate and the air we breathe.
Through the art, science and history of wood, Homegrown celebrates and explores
the many roles that trees and their products play in our world. Depending on age
level, topics explored may include plant taxonomy, photosynthesis, and leaf
printing. The chart below provides a quick glance at the programs available to each grade-level.
