VOTES ARE IN: Roberson Announces Summer Film Series Lineup
Binghamton Mayor Matt Ryan joined Roberson Museum and Science Center to unveil the three movies that will be part of Roberson’s 5th Annual Outdoor Summer Film Series lineup.
The winning movies are “Grease,” “Up,” and “The Wizard of Oz.” Nearly 700 community members voted on a selection of 8 movies in Roberson’s online and social media drive poll to determine the winners.
The official 2012 Outdoor Summer Film Series Lineup:
Friday, June 22: “Grease: Sing-a-Long Version”
Friday, July 20: “Up”
Friday, August 10: “The Wizard of Oz”
Roberson’s Executive Director Terry McDonald says, “The film series vote provided a wonderful opportunity to engage members of our community and let them decide the movies shown during our Annual Outdoor Summer Film Series.”
The film series has become increasingly popular as Roberson partners with the Art Mission and Theater, the City of Binghamton and Terry Burke Audio to project the films on the exterior of the museum during warm Friday nights in the summer. The annual film series offers FREE entertainment to visitors with the movies starting just after sunset.
Donations are appreciated and concessions are available during the films.
